Vasectomy is the male equivalent of tubal ligation for permanent sterilisation. As opposed to tubal ligation, a vasectomy does not require a general anaesthetic and therefore can easily be performed in a doctor’s surgery.
Vasectomy must be considered an irreversible operation.
Unfortunately due to practice costs we cannot bulk-bill this procedure even for Concession Card Holders. Our fee is dictated by the AMA recommended fees. There will be a Medicare rebate.
